很多刚搬到休斯顿、或第一次想走进教会的华人朋友，心里都有一些不好意思问出口的问题。我们把最常被问到的整理在这里。还有别的问题？欢迎写信到 [email protected]，我们会亲自回你。
Many friends who are new to Houston — or new to church altogether — have questions they feel awkward asking out loud. Here are the ones we hear most. Anything else? Email [email protected] and a real person will write back.
我第一次来，该穿什么？What should I wear?
穿你平常舒服的衣服就好。T恤、牛仔裤、球鞋都很常见，没有着装要求，也没有人会打量你。
Whatever you're comfortable in. T-shirts, jeans and sneakers are normal here. There is no dress code and nobody is checking.
主日崇拜是几点？大概要待多久？What time is Sunday worship and how long does it last?
每周日下午 2:00 开始，大约一个半到两个小时。结束后有茶点团契，可以留下来聊聊，也可以直接离开，都没关系。
Sundays at 2:00PM, running about 90 minutes to two hours. Snacks and fellowship follow — stay and chat, or head out. Either is fine.
讲道是中文还是英文？我英文不好可以吗？Is the sermon in Mandarin or English?
敬拜是中英双语，讲道以中文（普通话）为主，所以完全不会英文也没有问题。每个月第二周的主日是中英双语讲道，适合带 ABC 孩子或英文背景的朋友一起来。
Worship is bilingual and the sermon is normally in Mandarin, so no English is required. Every second Sunday of the month is a combined bilingual (Mandarin & English) service — a good week to bring English-speaking family or friends.
聚会地点在哪里？停车方便吗？Where do you meet, and is there parking?
地点是 Ed Building, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church，1351 S Mason Rd, Katy, TX 77450。有宽敞的免费停车场，进门会有人带你到聚会的地方。

我不是基督徒，也还在观望，可以来吗？I'm not a Christian and I'm still exploring — can I come?
当然可以，而且很欢迎。你不需要先相信什么、也不需要做任何决定，来听、来看、来问问题都可以。我们也开设【启发 Alpha】课程，专门给想从头认识信仰的朋友。
Yes, and you're genuinely welcome. You don't need to believe anything first or make any decision. Come, listen, ask questions. We also run Alpha, a course made for people starting from scratch.
孩子和青少年有安排吗？Is there anything for kids and teens?
有。青少年在主日有自己的聚会，内容和形式都是为在美国长大的孩子设计的。带孩子一起来，不用担心他们坐不住。
Yes — youth meet separately on Sundays, with a program designed for kids growing up in the U.S. Bring your children; you don't have to worry about them sitting still.
家庭聚会（house church）是什么？和主日崇拜有什么不同？What is a house church and how is it different from Sunday?
家庭聚会是周五晚上在弟兄姊妹家里的小型聚会，十几个人一起吃饭、读圣经、祷告、聊生活里的难处。主日是全教会一起敬拜，家庭聚会则是真正认识人、被认识的地方。目前有 Katy 组（周五 7:00PM，6:30 一起吃晚饭）和 Memorial 区组（周五 7:30PM）。
House church is a small Friday-night gathering in someone's home — a dozen or so people eating together, reading the Bible, praying and talking about real life. Sunday is the whole church worshipping; house church is where you actually get known. We currently have a Katy group (Fri 7:00PM, dinner at 6:30) and a Memorial-area group (Fri 7:30PM).
我住在 Memorial、Energy Corridor、Sugar Land，跑一趟 Katy 值得吗？I live in Memorial, the Energy Corridor or Sugar Land — is the drive worth it?
我们的会友来自大休斯顿各区。如果开车太远，可以先从离你近的家庭聚会开始——Memorial 区就有一组，周五晚上聚会，很多人是先在家庭聚会里熟起来，才慢慢来主日的。
Our people come from all over greater Houston. If the drive is long, start with a house church closer to you — the Memorial-area group meets Friday evenings. Plenty of people got to know us there first and came to Sunday later.
我刚搬来休斯顿 / 刚来读书，人生地不熟，教会能帮上什么？I just moved to Houston or just started school here — how can the church help?
刚落地的那几个月最难：找房、办证件、孩子入学、找医生、想家。教会里有很多走过同一条路的人，问一句就有人告诉你去哪、找谁。也常有人顺路载你来聚会。写信到 [email protected] 就行。
The first months are the hardest — housing, paperwork, schools, doctors, homesickness. Many here have walked the same road and can just tell you where to go and who to ask, and people often give rides to Sunday gatherings. Email [email protected].
第一次来需要奉献吗？Am I expected to give?
不需要。奉献是自愿的，也没有人会传盘子给你。想支持教会事工的人可以用 Venmo 或 Zelle 扫码，其他人完全不用在意这件事。
No. Giving is voluntary and nothing is passed around. Those who want to support the ministry can scan a Venmo or Zelle code; everyone else can simply ignore it.
我想受洗，或想更认识信仰，下一步怎么走？I'd like to be baptized or go deeper — what's next?
跟我们说一声就好。我们会安排牧者跟你聊聊，了解你的经历和问题，再一起决定下一步。也有【启发 Alpha】和门徒造就的课程可以参加。
Just tell us. A pastor will sit down with you, hear your story and questions, and work out the next step together. Alpha and discipleship classes are also open to you.
